Alex Vano-Vinuales, current postdoc at GRIT, CENTRA, spent last May 2023 doing a research stay at Kyoto University, Japan. During this 1-month stay funded by RISE, he visited Prof. Koutarou Kyutoku and started a research line on the topic of Bondi accretion described on hyperboloidal slices. Alex interacted with several members of the Theoretical Astrophysics Group of Kyoto University, like Prof. Takahiro Tanaka, Prof. Takashi Hosokawa, Ryoki Matsukoba, Lucy McNeill, Hiroki Takeda, and graduate students Tomoya Suzuguchi and Keita Minato, among others. During his stay, Alex also delivered a well-received seminar at the Yukawa Institute for Theoretical Physics, and had scientific interactions and discussions with members of the Institute such as Prof. Shinji Mukohyama, Prof. Antonio de Felice and Francesco di Filippo. Apart from the lively seminar dinner, the Theoretical Astrophysics Group also organised a beautiful hike at Fushimi Inari Shrine and a delicious sake tasting. The whole stay was an unforgettable experience.
