Just like the streets of Munich, the central region of our galaxy is a crowded and busy place. Diogo Ribeiro - a former Master student under Vitor Cardoso - is now starting a PhD in the group of Reinhard Genzel in Munich, to probe gravity and the center of our galaxy with the GRAVITY instrument. Arianna Foschi, a PhD student at GRIT with Vitor Cardoso is also visiting the Munich group to explore how to probe new fields with supermassive black holes.
