Sayan Chakrabarti is back in Lisbon and visiting GRIT. Sayan was a postdoc at GRIT until 2013, and he did important work on black hole perturbation theory and new degrees of freedom. One of his well-known works, with Vitor, Paolo, Emanuele and Leonardo, deals with scalar-tensor theories, and shows that spinning black holes can give rise to floating or sinking orbits.
