Diogo just defended successfuly his Master thesis, on "Analogue Binaries and Superradiance". His thesis is based on a paper published in Physical Review D, and shows that even binary systems of non-rotating objects give rise to rotational superradiance. The thesis was supervised by Miguel Zilhão and Vitor Cardoso. Diogo was awarded top marks (20) and will now move to Genzel's group (2020 Physics Nobel Prize) for a PhD. Congratulations Diogo!
