João Luis Rosa and Rui André, PhD students at GRIT/CENTRA, received the first and second prizes in the Pitch Competition of the PhD Open Days 2019 at Instituto Superior Técnico, respectively. The competition, that took place on April 10, consists of a three minute presentation of the candidate's research work to a jury of seven experts from various areas. João Luis Rosa is working for his PhD on alternative theories to general relativity and Rui André on black hole thermodynamics and fundamental physics, both under the supervision of Professor José Sande Lemos.
