Physics Nobel Prize 2017 - Gravitational Waves

The gravitational waves, predicted by Albert Einstein 100 years ago, were first detected in 2015 by the LIGO experiment, the winner of the Physics Nobel Prize 2017.

José Sande Lemos, Instituto Superior Técnico's Professor and CENTRA's President, explains the meaning of this Nobel Prize and the importance of this discovery that opens a new window to further unveil the mysteries of the Universe.
