Black holes in massive gravity

Nov. 12 - 14:30 - 2014

SPEAKER: Eugeny Babichev (LPT, Orsay)

ABSTRACT: I will discuss black hole solutions in massive (bi)-gravity. First I will show a method for constructing black hole metrics in massive (bi)-gravity and present analogues of Schwarzschild, Reissner–Nordstrom, Kerr and Kerr–Newman black holes of General Relativity. In the second part of my talk I will analyse classical stability of two different branches of spherically symmetric solutions in massive (bi)-gravity and I will show that one branch possess unstable mode featuring the Gregory-Laflamme instability.
