CENTRA had a strong presence at encontro Ciencia '17 (Meeting with Science and Technology Portugal).
In the session Space and Earth Observation the following comunications were made:

- Dark matters and wonders of gravity: why the Universe is doing the wrong thingand why we should
- bother, by Sante Carloni
- A matéria escura no Universo, by Ilídio Lopes
CENTRA members were also session chair and members of the National Agenda for Space and Earth Observation round table.
Outreach videos (in Portuguese) were also recorded for several CENTRA activities.
- André Moitinho, presented the Gaia ESA mission
- António Amorim, discussed the GRAVITY instrument operating at ESO
- Paulo Garcia, introduced the METIS instrument for the ELT
