Title: Modelling dissipation and coupling in neutron stars
Abstract: Dissipation plays a crucial role in neutron star physics, determining the dynamics of several phenomena, from the evolution of the remnant of a merger to the timescale of pulsar glitches. In this talk I will discuss some of these phenomena and the dissipative mechanisms that are involved. I will also discuss how progress can be made to include these dissipative effects consistently in general relativistic models on neutron stars.
