Title: Two-body potential of Vainshtein screened theories
Abstract: Vainshtein screening is a popular mechanism allowing to hide the
effects of a cosmological scalar field on solar system scales. However,
up to now it was only investigated in spherically symmetric
configurations. In this talk I will present analytical and numerical
methods to obtain the energy in the fully nonlinear two-body case, which
is relevant e.g for the Earth-Moon system or equal-mass case binary
black hole/neutron star coalescence. This is achieved using techniques
from the Effective-One-Body formalism of Buonanno and Damour. Finally, I
will show how our results lead to a violation of the Weak Equivalence
Principle testable by Lunar Laser Ranging.
