Quantum Field Theory is an indispensable tool in particle physics, arising from the union of Quantum Mechanics and Special Relativity. Quantum Field Theory in Curved Spacetime is the next step in complexity, emerging when gravitation is also taken into account, and represents the last stepping stone for a full theory of Quantum Gravity. In this talk I will review the foundational principles of the theories leading to the formalism of Quantum Field Theory in Curved Spacetime, as well as go over some of the most notorious example applications.
