ABSTRACT: Horava gravity stands as the only framework to UV complete general relativity in 4 dimensions within perturbative QFT. The original proposals were based in power counting arguments which are not sufficient to establish if the theory is renormalizable. In this talk I'll discuss how to go beyond these arguments and present the proof of renormalizability for one of the flavours of Horava gravity (projectable version). I'll also comment on the difficulties faced by the more realistic possibilities.
