ABSTRACT: I will review the cosmological constant problem in its gory detail, emphasising two things: its the global nature, the non-predictability of Lambda. This brings me on to the sequestering proposal, a global modification of gravity that renders the CC stable against matter loops. I will discuss both the original proposal and its progeny which is more amenable to a Uv completion.
