Symmetries And Spin-statistics Relation In Quantum Space-time, Kumar Gupta (Saha Inst.)

Oct. 02 - 20:30 - 2012

Abstract: Noncommutative (NC) geometry is a model of quantum space-time, which is expected to be relevant at the Planck scale. In this talk we shall discuss the concept of symmetries within the NC framework and see how that affects the standard notion of spin-statistics relation and the oscillator algebra. We will discuss examples of NC black holes and how they affect the quantum fields in their backgrounds.
