Title: New astrophysical probes of axions and dark matter
Abstract: A remarkable combination of direct and indirect searches is systematically scanning the couplings of axion-like particles (ALPs) to standard model particles. In this talk, I will present some recent work that improves the constraints on the ALP-couplings to electrons and muons by several orders of magnitude using astrophysical probes such as the X-ray and gamma-ray background and the data from core-collapse supernovae.
