Born in Torres Vedras, Portugal, in 1975, I did my undergraduate (”Licenciatura”) in Physics at FCUL (University of Lisbon). I then moved to the University of Cambridge where I did the Master of Advanced Study in Mathematics at DAMTP. I got my PhD from the University of Oxford in 2003 under the title: “Observational constraints on the Physics of the Early Universe” with Pedro Ferreira and Subir Sarkar. I then spent two and a half great years at UC Davis, working with Lloyd Knox as a postdoctoral fellow in the Cosmology group. I then decided to move back to Portugal in 2005 as a postdoctoral fellow to work at IST-CENTRA where I also became an Invited Professor (”Professor Auxiliar Convidado”) in the Physics Department.
Since 2008, I am a Researcher (”Investigador Auxiliar”) at CENTRA in the Physics Dept. of IST.
