I will describe how the Sun can be used as a laboratory for constraining models of particle physics beyond the Standard Model.  In particular, I will focus on searches for high-energy neutrinos from annihilation of dark matter in the solar core, and their implications for supersymmetry.  If time permits, I will also discuss a way to probe theories containing light bosonic states using line formation in the photosphere, along with prospects for solving the solar abundance problem.
